Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty has achieved great success in the treatment of osteoarthritis, but the treatment of patients with anterior cruciate ligament deficiency with medial compartment osteoarthritis is still controversial, also, the surgical options are limited. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction combined with unicompartmental knee arthroplasty is an effective treatment. However, currently, most of the clinical joint surgeons are still lack of understanding of this technology. This paper reviewed the progress of this technology.
