Abstract:

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a common clinical treatment of ACL injury. Although better knee stability can be obtained after ACL reconstruction, the effect of postoperative recovery and the rate of patient return to sports vary greatly. It is of great clinical significance to study the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative related factors affecting the recovery effect after ACL reconstruction to guide the patient′s return to sports. This article focused on the preoperative factors such as the timing of reconstruction, preoperative rehabilitation, and preoperative education of surgery to elaborate how to promote the return to sports ability and level after ACL reconstruction through preoperative intervention, providing a basis for the clinical treatment strategy of ACL.

Key words: Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, Return to sports, Preoperative period, Rehabilitation
