Abstract:

As a novel knee motion analysis system, the Opti_Knee system is capable to assess the 6-degree-of-freedom kinematics of the knee joint, with the advantages of portable clinical application, mobile design, in-vivo and non-invasive. In recent years, it has been used in the field of sports medicine.Based on the technical principle and clinical application, this study systematically summarized the relevant domestic and foreign literatures for nearly six years. The origin and development, structure and principle of the system were reviewed. The applicable achievements of the Opti_Knee system were summarized in normal knee functional assessment, knee injury factor research, clinical diagnosis and treatment of knee joint diseases, such as gait observation, assisted diagnosis for anterior cruciate ligament injury, efficacy evaluation of knee osteoarthritis surgery and rehabilitation program development. This review also summarized the problems encountered in the applications to be overcome in future. The future application prospects of this system in the field of sports injury prevention are prospected.
