Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application effect of high-frequency vibration training in the perioperative period of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Methods

A total of 88 patients undergoing TKA in First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University were enrolled between January 2019 and January 2021. According to random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, 44 cases in each group. The control group were given routine nursing, while observation group were given high-frequency vibration training on basis of control group. The scores of Hospital of Special Surgery (HSS), Berg balance scale (BBS) and functional ambulation category scale (FAC) were compared between the two groups before intervention and three months after intervention. The measurement data were analyzed by t test, and count data were analyzed by chi-square test.

Results

After three months of intervention, scores of HSS, BBS and FAC in observation group were higher than those in control group (t=4.097, 4.088, 4.905, all P<0.05).

Conclusion

The high-frequency vibration training can effectively promote the recovery of knee function in patients after TKA, which is beneficial to improve balance ability and walking ability.
