Research progress of chondrocyte autophagy in osteoarthritis

Objective

Osteoarthritis (OA), a common chronic degenerative disease inclinics, is the main cause of the disability and dysfunction of middle-aged and elderly people. Autophagy is not only essential to the maintenance of metabolic balance and renewal of cellular organs, but also has close relationship with the occurrence and development of OA.This article reviewed the latest research progress of chondrocyte autophagy in OA.
