Abstract:

Postoperative nausea and vomiting ( PONV ) is one of the common complications after joint replacement, and it is also a common manifestation of gastrointestinal dysfunction during perioperative period. Persistent and severe PONV has a great adverse effect on the postoperative rehabilitation process of patients. The study found that identifying high-risk groups in advance and giving relevant prevention and treatment measures before and after surgery can effectively reduce the incidence and severity of PONV. At present, the researches on the prevention and treatment of PONV in various surgeries have been developed, but only a few applications are reported in the perioperative period of joint replacement. This article retrospectively analyzed the methods of prevention and treatment of PONV in previous surgeries, and summarized the methods to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of PONV in joint replacement.
