Abstract:

Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the gold standard treatment for advanced hemophilic arthritis. For such patients, surgical considerations such as abnormal anatomy, prosthesis selection, surgical approach, synovial management, vascular injury, patella treatment, flexion contracture treatment, and simultaneous bilateral TKA surgery should be considered in order to obtain the good clinical outcome. This article summarized the surgical precautions related to TKA in the patients with hemophilia
