骨膜蛋白是一个分子量约为90 kDa的细胞外基质蛋白,在参与细胞连接、纤维化、感应机械应力和调控骨代谢与肌腱重塑等方面起着重要作用。近年来研究发现,骨膜蛋白与骨关节炎(OA)的发生和发展可能密切相关,有望成为早期诊断和早期治疗OA的新的潜在靶点。本文将结合国内外对骨膜蛋白的最新研究成果,重点讨论骨膜蛋白的结构、功能以及在OA方面的研究进展。

Periostin is a 90 kDa matricellular protein, which plays an important role in many aspects of cell adhesion, fibrosis, response to mechanical strain, regulating bone metabolism and tendon remodeling. In recent years, many studies have discovered that periostin may be closely related to osteoarthritis, which would become a novel and latent site to diagnose and treat with osteoarthris earlier. This article paid attention to studies on periostin domestically and abroad, and discussed mainly about the structure and functions of periostin and its research progresses in osteoarthritis.
