Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the effect of nursing intervention on postoperative pain and nursing satisfaction of patiens with hip fracture.

Methods

From January 2015 to Septembe 2016, 100 cases of hip fracture surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University were selected, and the diagnosis of hip fracture was confirmed by imaging. All the patients were informed consent and could communicate properly. There was no contraindication of operation or severe postoperative complication. They were randomly divided into the control group (n=50) and the observation group (n=50). The control group were given routine nursing care and other patients were provided extra nursing intervention. The postoperative pain and nursing satisfaction between the two groups were compared. The measurement data (age and pain score) were analyzed by t test, and chi-square test was used to compare the count data (sex, type of fracture, nursing satisfaction).

Results

Compared with the control group, visual analogue score of the observation group decreased 24-72 h after the operation(t=4.378、2.627、2.587, P<0.05), and patient satisfaction improved (χ2=13.829, P<0.05).

Conclusion

Nursing intervention can effectively reduce postoperative pain of the patients with hip fractuer and significantly improve the quality of nursing care.
