Abstract:

Objective

To summarize the principal of nursing cooperation in robot assisted total hip arthroplasty (THA), to explore the nursing mode of robot assisted joint replacement.

Methods

A retrospective analysis of the clinical data and operating room nursing process was carried out to compare 110 patients of the robot assisted THA with 100 patients of traditional unilateral THA in the Department of Orthopaedics of the Third Hospital of Peking University from October 2019 to August 2021. The variables such as operation time, hospital stay length and intraoperative blood loss were compared and analyzed by t test.

Results

The average operation time of robot assisted THA was (115.5±28.2) min, which was significantly longer than that of the control group (70.4±11.6) min (t=14.89, P<0.001). There was no difference in average length of stay and intraoperative bleeding between the two groups.

Conclusion

Nursing cooperation should be paid more attention in robot assisted THA, experience shall be constantly summarized to form an effective nursing management mode, and further shorten the operation time.
