Protocol for clinical practice guideline of approach in hip arthroplasty

Abstract:

To observe a protocol for developing a clinical practice guideline for the approach in hip arthroplasty, based on the definition of Institution of Medicine(IOM)about clinical practice guideline (CPG), World Health Orgnization(WHO) handbook, the grading of recommendations assessment, development, and evaluation(GRADE), Appraisal of Guidelines Research and Evaluation(AGREE Ⅱ), and the Reporting Items for Practice Guidelines in Healthcare(RIGHT) for publishing the CPG, this protocol was chased before making CPG. The Guideline Working Groups were established in Dec 2020, group members and missions of the Guideline Development Group, the Guideline Steering Group, the Guideline Secretary Group and the External Experts were set up then. The progresses and procedures of Declaration of Interests and Funding Support, Formulating Questions and Choosing Outcomes, Databases Searched, Evidence Assessment, Patients’ Values and Preferences, Developing Recommendations, Peer Review of Guideline, Reporting Publication and Updating of the Guideline, Promotion, Implementation and Evaluation of Guideline, Guideline Target Users and Target Population, such mentioned above could be found in this protocol. The present protocol for developing a clinical practice guideline for the approach in hip arthroplasty was based on the clinical evidences, and it would be the most suitable guideline for Chinese population.
